Emily has provided four-plus years of amazing service to our office. Much more than a student office assistant, she has taken charge of our Graduate Studies news blog and social media presence. The stories she’s written for our blog range from news items about our award-winning alumni, current student spotlights, and curricular and programmatic innovations. The social media content she has generated —including Facebook, multiple Twitter accounts, and Instagram—for our office is engaging, relevant, and of professional value for our audiences. In addition to her media content work, Emily is calm and reassuring presence for students who come in to the Graduate Studies office. Her workspace is closest to our office suite’s door, and so she often receives quite a bit of traffic, which she directs with ease. Finally, Emily is an amazing individual to work with. She is knowledgeable (and a quick study in new situations), kind, and highly reliable. It’s customary for her to chip in to tackle large, unexpected projects in our office without even being asked, or to suggest new administrative processes that make all of our jobs easier. We honestly do not know what we’re going to do without her on our team when she graduates!
